New Mexico State University Department of Computer Science REQUIREMENTS
Qualified individuals must have an earned Ph.D. (in hand by hire date) in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Electrical Engineering. Experience and publications in large scale mathematical modeling of dynamic systems. Experience in computational systems biology a plus. Proficient computer programming skills in C/C++ (required) and R/SPLUS (desirable).RESPONSIBILITIES
The PostDoc fellow will participate in research to use discrete dynamic system model to reconstruct gene regulatory networks in Drosophila from microarray gene expression data, and travel to collaborate with a world-renowned biologist at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center at Seattle, WA. Ongoing work in the laboratory includes designing large scale dynamic system models to discover significant interactions among hundreds to thousands of variables. These systems models have been applied to neuroscience, bioenergy, microbial ecology, and cancer research.COMPENSATION
