BACKGROUND: A position is available in the Bao lab at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center/Sloan-Kettering Institute in New York City, for algorithm/software development in automated image analysis. The opening is for a postdoctoral fellow or a staff/programmer depending on qualification.
We are developing a system that automatically tracks every cell at every minute during C. elegans embryogenesis, with the goal to study the molecular and cellular mechanisms of development through systematic single-cell analysis. The system uses 3D, time-lapse microscopy, followed by automated image analysis.

REQUIREMENTS: Prior experience in image segmentation and algorithm development is required. A staff/programmer position requires a Bachelor’s Degree.
