BACKGROUND: A postdoc position is available in the Bao lab at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center/Sloan-Kettering Institute in New York City. The lab studies the molecular and cellular mechanism of C. elegans embryogenesis through systematic single-cell analysis, enabled by a homegrown system that automatically tracks every cell at every minute during embryogenesis (http://www.mskcc.org/mskcc/html/80954.cfm).
RESPONSIBILITIES: We are looking for a motivated individual to study how cells find their migration paths during morphogenesis, based on systematic analysis of cell positions extracted by the automated system.
REQUIREMENTS: background in quantitative/computational analysis
PREFERENCES: Additional expertise in one or more of the following fields is a great plus: genetics, cell biology, worm biology or microscopy.
