    A bioinformatics postdoctoral or research associate position is available at the Biotechnology Research Center (http://www.biotech.mtu.edu) of Michigan Technological University. Primary job responsibilities include whole-genome microarray data analysis and interpretation, management and integration of relational databases (http://www.aspenDB.mtu.edu), including a custom EST database and a microarray database on the BASE platform.

    Previous experience with microarray data analysis software, database development, familiar with other biological databases (KEGG, GO, BRENDA etc) and a good publication record are highly desirable. Strong quantitative background required, and familiar with Unix/Linux, Java, Perl, Shell, MySQL, R, and PHP.

    Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant field or a Master degree with equivalent experience, and an interest in basic biological research.
