BACKGROUND
This position is part of a high-profile multidisciplinary, collaborative research lab within the Genomics and Physical Biosciences Divisions at LBNL. The lab develops computational algorithms and associated software for genomic sequence analysis. This includes a comprehensive set of tools for comparative genomics including publicly available Web servers and software, visualization tools, DNA functional sites prediction, and others. Among them are VISTA - a suite of programs and databases for comparative analysis of genomic sequences, and RegTransBase - a database of regulatory sequences and interactions in a wide range of prokaryotic genomes.
Note: This is a one year appointment with the possibility of renewal contingent upon continued funding and availability of work.
