Subject: Next Generation Bioinformatics - New Positions at Synamatix Malaysia

Synamatix is focused upon applying its proprietary SynaBASE platform and software to convert genomics data into knowledge. The current phase of technology and product development is heavily focused upon addressing the management and analysis of data from 2nd generation DNA sequencers AND their application towards personalised medicines and enhanced crops. Since incorporation in 2002, Synamatix has licensed its software to leading genome research institutions in the USA, Europe, Australia and Singapore. This growth has led to exceptional opportunities for talented individuals who are determined to take advantage of the new Post Genome Era in an exciting and dynamic international environment.

1. Bioinformatics Research Group Head (1 position)

2. Senior Bioinformatics Researchers (4 positions)
Spearhead research and collaborations with some of the worldï¿½s leading genomics research institutes
Relevant B.Sc./Ph.D. and publication record or extensive experience within a bioinformatics company preferred

3. Bioinformatics Software Developers and Project Managers (5 positions)
Perl, Java and C language experience
Interest or experience in one of more of the following areas
i. Genome assembly
ii. Genome annotation
iii. Data pipelining and integration
iv. Data visualisation and mining

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in an intellectually stimulating environment with opportunities to collaborate with leading scientists from the USA, Europe, Australia and other locations on a variety of ongoing projects.
