Software: mpiHMMer site is now live
Submitted by Joe Landman; posted on Thursday, January 10, 2008
mpiHMMer was released early in 2007. mpiHMMer is a rewrite of the parallel HMMer code so that it works on clusters with MPI libraries. Benchmark tests have demonstrated performance of 60x on 64 CPUs as compared to single CPUs.

mpiHMMer had been hosted at the code.google.com site. With the subsequent work on mpiHMMer, and mpiHMMer-Boost (hardware accelerated MPI-HMMer in conjunction with Progeniq: http://progeniq.com), a new site was created. This new site has all of the documentation, downloads, papers, and information. In short order, it will host additional resources for users and developers.

Please visit mpiHMMer's new home on the web: http://www.mpihmmer.org
