DESCRIPTION:
Sequencing technologies laboratory at Harvard Partners Center for Genetics and Genomics is seeking for a candidate to provide bioinformatics support for our next generation platform (Illumina-Solexa 1G) and ABI sequencing platforms. The position assumes exposure to broad range of tasks and projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
The position requires 2-5 years of experience in bioinformatics or computational biology. Knowledge of Perl, Linux/Unix is also required. Proficiency with usage of public and private genomics databases and resources is a plus. Knowledge of SQL, Java, R is a plus. Degree in bioinformatics or computational biology is a plus. Experience with analysis and QC of ABI, Illumina-Solexa 1G sequencing data is a plus.
