Company/Institution: University of Toronto
Job Title: Postdoc
Job Description:
We are seeking two postdocs for collaborative projects in genomics and systems biology. These positions offer recent computational PhD graduates the opportunity to gain first-hand bioinformatics and biology experience by collaborating closely with experimental biologists. The primary responsibility of the positions is to use machine learning, statistical modeling and data mining to analyze experimental data from large-scale biological assays. Specific initial projects will include relating sequence features of genes and proteins to measurements of gene expression, nucleosome occupancy, RNA processing, and biochemical properties of proteins, in order to identify functional elements and their properties, and predict system behavior. The postdocs will join the highly collaborative integrative biology community located in the Terrence Donnelly Centre for Cellular and Biomolecular Research at the University of Toronto.
