    The Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology in Potsdam, Germany invites applications for a

    PhD Studentship
    (codes 09/08)

    We are looking for a PhD candidate to test, improve and formulate new algorithms to reconstruct gene networks based upon real world, multidimensional data sets, within the newly established group of Integrative Carbon Biology.

    The work will further involve predicting the response of genes to environmental conditions based upon template responses and developing bioinformatics tools to aid in the aforementioned analyses.

    Applicants should have a Diploma or Master’s Degree preferably in biophysics, physics or mathematics with a strong background in biology, although life scientists with a strong mathematical background will also be considered.
