    A bioinformatician position is available in the Laboratoire de BioInformatique et Génomique Intégratives (LBGI) in the context of high-throughput data analysis (transcriptomics and transfected cell array).

    BACKGROUND:
    The scientific project is part of an effort to study the early phase of infection of the oncolytic parvovirus H1. The project will be carried out in close collaboration with biologists researchers in Heidelberg (DKFZ) and the TCA platform in Strasbourg (IGBMC).

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    The candidate will aim to identify cellular factors implicated in the entry and transduction of oncolytic parovirus by comparison of transcriptomes of normal cells and cells being infected by parvovirus. Furthermore data from transfected cell array screens will be analyzed.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    The tasks foreseen require knowledge in statistics and programming languages (knowledge of “R” would be an advantage).

    PREFERENCES

    TERMS: The position is available for 12 months starting in March/April 2008 with the possibility of further evolution.
