    Bioinformatics Senior Specialist.

    The Bioinformatics Department is currently seeking a Bioinformatics Senior Specialist in our headquarters. The successful candidate will be provide informatics support to R&D, Marketing/Sales and Production activities in genomic, proteomics and metabolomics by leading efforts in algorithm and software development, RNAi/DNA Oligo/Peptide design, database integration, and data annotation/data mining.

    Qualifications include:
    • Hands-on expertise on Mass Spectrometry experiment setup and data analysis
    Advanced degree in life sciences or bioinformatics or equivalent is required.
    • 5+ years experience in analyzing large scale and complex biological data sets.
    • Significant experience in working and developing software on Unix or Linux-based platform also required.
    • Proficiency in Perl, SQL, Java, Javacript and XML, and with common bioinformatics software tools and libraries required.
    • Strong knowledge of database design and development with mySQL and Oracle..
    • Understanding of statistical methods and familiarity with statistic analysis packages and approaches (such as Matlab, R and SAS) is highly desired.
    • Qualified candidate must have the ability to multi-task and exercise judgment for setting priority as well as have excellent communication skills with ability, both written and verbal, to partner and interface with cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to work in a team environment.
    • Self-motivation required.
