We are seeking a highly motivated Bioinformatician / Statistician to work in the Centre for High Throughput Functional Genomics. The position involves statistical and bioinformatic analysis of genome wide datasets and support in experimental design.
The ideal applicant should have an appropriate university degree in computer science and/or statistics. Extensive experience in bioinformatics, statistical analysis of large datasets as well as good statistical programming skills are required. Prior experience with analysis of genome wide datasets and the programming language R is an advantage. The post holder should be able to work independently and interact well within a team environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills as well as a working knowledge of English are essential.
A contract of 3 years will be offered to the successful candidate. This can be renewed, depending on circumstances at the time of the review.
