Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is seeking highly motivated microarray data analyst with experience in statistical analysis, computer tools and molecular biology to join the bioinformatics team in its Bioinformatics Shared Resource (BSR).

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will work closely with both bioinformatician in BSR and research scientists in the analysis of complex data sets, including microarray expression profiles, ChIP-chip data, and the next generation sequencing data.

REQUIREMENTS

Required qualifications include an M.S. /Ph. D. degree in statistics or biostatistics with a strong interest in biology. Valuable prior experience include common microarray data analysis tools, such as Bioconductor, BRB array tools, Ringo etc.; familiar with generating biological hypothesis from data analysis, and experience with one or more of the following languages: C, C++, PERL, R, Matlab, Java, SQL. Knowledge and experience in next generation sequencing is a plus.
