Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is seeking a motivated computational biologist to work in its bioinformatics shared resource (BSR). RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing bioinformatics support to small RNA research, including small RNA hairpin design, sequencing data analysis, and other RNAi-related works. He/she will also work on maintaining database to store and manage information related to small RNA and hairpin library.REQUIREMENTS
Required qualifications include an M.S. degree or equivalent in bioinformatics or biology with demonstrable computational skills or an M.S. degree or equivalent in computer science with a strong interest in biology. Must be familiar with SQL database design and maintenance. Valuable prior experience includes web-page development, and experience with one or more of the following languages: C, PERL, Python, SQL. Knowledge and experience in sequencing technology is highly desired.ABOUT US
