    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Velocity11 - An Agilent Technologies Company is a leader in providing laboratory automation solutions for drug discovery and a range of other scientific research and development applications.     The Software QA Engineer will participate in the planning and execution of test projects. This includes all aspects of testing such as:
    • User Interface and Usability test.
    • Functional test of the V11 Automation software platform, ActiveX controls and hardware drivers for Velocity11 and third party devices.
    • Integration test of device drivers with V11 Automation platform
    • Code Coverage test using DevPartner software

    REQUIREMENTS

    Required Qualifications:
    • BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
    • At least 5+ years of software QA experience.
    • Commitment to producing quality software that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
    • Ability to work closely with developers to identify, debug, and resolve software bugs.
    • Experience writing test plans and test cases.
    • Experience writing easy-to-understand defect reports
    • Commitment to continually strive for excellence.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
    • Ability to clearly communicate status and progress.
    • Capacity to work independently or as a part of a team, with minimal supervision.
    Desired Qualifications
    • Knowledge of JavaScript and Visual Basic.
    • Experience using SQL.
    • Understanding of XML and HTML.
    • Silk automated testing experience.
