    BACKGROUND

    This position involves analysis of data generated from Affymetrix Microarrays. Duties involve assisting investigators in identifying candidate genes and functional pathways using 3' and whole genome arrays and SNP analysis. Opportunities exist for research collaborations.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Conduct analysis of data generated by Affymetrix Microarray core facility to determine gene expression in human and animal models. Identify genetic limitations. Provide information to principle investigator.

    Track investigator utilization. Submits summarization for billing.

    Provides instruction and assistance using bioinformatics software.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Master's degree in bioinformatics or related area. Knowledge of statistics.

    PREFERENCES

    PhD in bioinformatics or related field. Two years of experience in microarray data analysis.

    COMPENSATION

    Salary Commensurate with education and experience.
