    BACKGROUND:
    We are seeking a scientific associate with strong and flexible computer skills to assist in the processing, quality control, analysis, and annotation of datasets from small molecule and functional genomics ultra-high-throughput screening systems, and related technologies.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    As part of the core screening groups, the successful candidate will be involved in a wide variety of biological investigations and the programming of utilities and tools to support such investigations. Although this is primarily a computer-oriented position, knowledge of the biology and instrumentation involved in the projects will be helpful.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Qualified candidates will have a B.S. or M.S. degree; coursework or experience in both biology and computer science; and a working knowledge of Linux and Perl.

    PREFERENCES

    Knowledge of chemistry or experience in image processing, CGI, the R statistical language, MySQL, or Oracle are a plus.
