    Job Title: Programmer/Analyst

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    The Research and Development group at Genzyme Genetics seeks a Programmer/Analyst to be actively involved in development and implementation of mathematical algorithms for novel medical diagnostic products. The candidate will assist in design of data analysis tools, will implement mathematical algorithms in scripting languages like Matlab, will develop software quality control procedures and write documentation. The candidate will interface closely with IT, technical operations and clinical operations.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    Requires a BS in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics/Statistics or Computer Science with 2+ years of experience in code development, or requires an MS in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics/Statistics or Computer Science.

    Minimum of 2 years of experience using Matlab or R. Experience with 2+ years of programming experience in Perl, Java, or C/C++.

    PREFERENCES: Matlab and Biological science experience

    TERMS: Full Time
