    BACKGROUND

    The IBM China Research Laboratory (CRL), one of the top industry research labs located in Beijing, is expanding research team in Healthcare Informatics area. We have positions opening for worldwide researchers who are interested and experienced in exploring innovative interoperablity and knowledge engineering technologies in healthcare/clinical informatics area. Thus we are looking for most talented and motivated researchers to join this research team.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Research in Healthcare Information Interoperablity and Knowledge Formalization area
    • Paticipate and contribute in standardization working groups of China healthcare industry

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Deep knowledge & experience in formal representation of clinical terminology system such as SNOMED, UMLS
    • Deep knowledge & experience in healthcare industry standards such as HL7 RIM, HL7 CDA, IHE XDS
    • Knowledge in bioinformatics related knowledge discovery/mining is a strong plus
      • - Independent research capablity, good presentation and communication skill

PREFERENCES

  • Knowledge of Semantic Web, Ontology, OWL and RDF is a strong plus
  • Development skill in JAVA, SQL is a strong plus

TERMS

Education: Ph.D. or Master Degree majored in CS, EE, Medical Informatics or related;

Language: Native Chinese/Mandarin required, Fluent English

LOCALE: Beijing, China
