    BACKGROUND

    As part of the vision for developing the Centre, two positions are available for data analysts to develop quantitative approaches to studying gene expression. You will join existing staff in a new Data Analysis facility headed by Professor of Bioinformatics, Geoff Barton (http://www.compbio.dundee.ac.uk).

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    You will provide support for computational analysis of data-intensive "wet" biological research particularly in the areas of proteomics and image analysis.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    We are looking for mathematicians, bioinformaticians, computer scientists, programmers or physicists with strong programming and data analysis skills and with a minimum of three-years experience of computational methods applied in a research environment.

    TERMS:
    These positions are available for two years in the first instance.

    COMPENSATION:
    £34,793 - £41,545
