The Asia Pacific Bioinformatics Conference (APBC) series, founded in 2003, is an annual international forum for exploring research, development and applications of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. The Seventh Asia-Pacific Bioinformatics Conference, APBC2009 will be held in Beijing, China, following the 2008 Olympic Games.

The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers, professionals, and industrial practitioners from all over the world for interaction and exchange of knowledge and ideas in all areas of bioinformatics and computational biology.
