BACKGROUND

Medical Education company based in New York City that is comprised of several best-in-class organizations dedicated to the design and execution of creative and compelling medical communications initiatives is seeking a Biomedical Linguistics Specialist for their Bioinformatics division. Their unique implementation of natural language processing technology combines the speed and throughput of “exhaustive” information retrieval systems with the precision and essential knowledge afforded by information extraction systems. This allows them to mine multiple sources of information while ensuring the highest precision, medical accuracy, objectivity and integrity of our outputs. RESPONSIBILITIES

The Biomedical Linguistics Specialist’s primary purpose is to provide computational linguistics and natural language processing support to the team, in order to fine-tune client deliverables. The candidate will work with our Medical, Business Technology and Client Services teams to produce appropriate queries in order to increase the accuracy of the data produced for our client deliverables. In this critical role, you will participate in the development of credible content for a full range of medical strategy engagements including, but not limited to, message mapping, outcomes research and prediction modeling.

REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for the role of Biomedical Linguistics Specialist, one must hold an advanced degree in Computational Linguistics, Natural Language Processing or Computer Science with a focus on biomedical sciences with 2-5 years of bio/life sciences professional experience.
