RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a talented and highly motivated postdoc to join the Immune Epitope Database and Analysis Resource (IEDB) bioinformatics team. The IEDB (http://www.immuneepitope.org) is an NIH-funded bioinformatics resource that aids in the development of vaccines, immunotherapeutics, and diagnostics, and assists scientists better understand immune mechanisms. Candidates will work with Dr. Bjoern Peters and Dr. Alessandro Sette (http://www.liai.org/pages/faculty) to analyze data and develop software tools to model immune responses. Candidates will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and working experience in bioinformatics and immunology while working at one of the country’s top immunological research institutes.REQUIREMENTS
Interested candidates are required to have a PhD degree. The degree will ideally be in bioinformatics, but candidates with equivalent skills and interests in computer science, statistics, and biomedicine will be considered as well.
Experience with Python, Perl, R, Linux, Django, VMWare and Eclipse IDE is desirable, and background knowledge of immunology, biochemistry, and bioinformatics is a strong plus.SALARY & COMPENSATION
