    Excellent opportunity with a well funded start-up company that is commercializing their flow through chip used for multigene screening. Product has been demonstrated to be effective and highly efficient for both genetic and proteomics applications.     You will be responsible for database modeling and management, including schema design, database implementation and management. Also must perform data mining on proprietary and public gene databases. Will work closely with research scientists to prepare software design specifications. In general, responsibilities will be broad and changing due to the start-up nature of the business.

    Requirements include: Ph.D. or Masters in life science with course work in computer science and or statistics. Two to four years of experience in industry or as a post-doc in a bioinformatics role. Must have knowledge of Unix and NT systems, Oracle and Access database programs, and programming experience in Java, C++ and Perl
