    RESPONSIBILITIES

    SRA seeks a mid to high level scientific software developer to support scientific research programs and facilities in a biomedical and clinical setting. The successful candidate will be able to individually and as a member of a team:
    • Participate in establishing system design characteristics to meet requirements;
    • Participate in data management system design; and,
    • Design and develop web/platform based applications to help solve problems.
    The applicant may participate in teams with engineers and scientist by developing subsystems of larger projects in discrete phases. The candidate may be required to investigate the suitability of specific methods, algorithms, and software approaches to particular assignments. Further, the individual will be expected to rely on commonly/commercially available software wherever possible.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Skills:
    • Web application development, HTML (5-7 years)
    • JavaScript programming (2-4 years)
    • Perl programming (2-4 years)
    • PHP, ColdFusion, and Oracle (4-5 years)
    • Relational database systems and databases
    Education:
    Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred.
    Subjects: Computer Science or related field. Alternatively, equivalent work experience in technology role
