BACKGROUND
We seek a capable and enthusiastic bioinformatician to join the groups of Dr Casey Bergman and Dr Goran Nenadic as part of BBSRC-funded project to integrate text-mining and genome annotation methods.RESPONSIBILITIES
This project will involve the implementation of biomedical literature information extraction methods, genome annotation database development, and production of integrated text-mining/genome analysis pipelines.REQUIREMENTS
You should have (or expect to hold shortly) a relevant PhD or equivalent relevant postdoctoral level experience in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology, Computer Science or related disciplines, with proven experience in programming and database management.TERMS
This position is tenable for 1 year from January 2009.
LOCALE: Manchester, UK.SALARY & COMPENSATION
