    A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Applied Bioinformatics Lab at the University of Kansas.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The successful candidate will develop novel and utilize existing data analysis and mining algorithms and tools in genomics, proteomics, and/or drug discovery. Other duties may include database development and management. He/she will play a key role in a number of highly visible and productive projects in an interdisciplinary and highly collaborative environment.

    PREFERENCES

    PhD in a relevant field. Demonstrated experience in datamining using machine learning and statistical methods. Proficiency in common bioinformatics programming languages such as Perl and Java. Experience in developing relational databases and their web interfaces. Knowledge in biology and/or chemistry.
