The Department of Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine is inviting individuals with advanced training and experience in bioinformatics to apply for a faculty position at the assistant or associate professor level.

REQUIREMENTS

A doctoral degree in bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, computer science, or a closely related discipline is required. Applicants must have experience with applying bioinformatics to clinical or translational research areas, and/or experience developing bioinformatic approaches that could significantly impact medically relevant research.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Department is particularly interested in persons who are interested in both collaborating with basic and translational biomedical researchers to apply sophisticated analytic and high-throughput approaches to large datasets that already exist or are being assembled at BUSM, as well as developing an independent bioinformatic research program. It is expected that this individual will direct a fellowship program in bioinformatics within the Department of Medicine and actively participate in teaching and mentoring of graduate students.
