Three PhD student or postdoc positions/scholarships for up to three years are available for enthusiastic scholars in the Medical Bioinformatics group at the University Hospital Rostock. REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should either hold a doctorate or a diploma/masters degree (or equivalent) in the life sciences or in computer science, physics, chemistry, mathematics or a related area. They should have previous experience in data analysis and programming. A keen interest in science is more important than previous experience in the field, although experience with (high-throughput) biological data such as microarrays, with biological databases and with comparative / evolutionary analysis and machine learning is considered a plus. One position is earmarked for genome-wide population data analysis, another is earmarked for analysis of ageing-related data, and the third may focus on signalling network / molecular pathway data.LOCALE
