    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Local Ann Arbor Computational Biology Company is seeking a highly qualified individual to lead the company’s move into the Next Generation Sequencing market for data analysis. The qualified individual will routinely use the company’s hardware/software to provide proof-of-concept data analyses for prospective customers, publish the results of these proof-of-concept studies collaboratively whenever possible, provide overview and technical presentations detailing the company’s background and capabilities, and in general be in touch with the existing and emerging thought leaders in this exciting new genomics market. With responsibility for North America and a parent company located in Munich, Germany, frequent travel will be required.

    REQUIREMENTS

    The following qualifications are highly desirable:
    • MS/PhD in molecular biology/genomics or equivalent scientific discipline
    • Be familiar with high throughput genomic methods
    • Ideally have experience with next generation sequencing
    • Publications, including publications using Next Generation Sequencing data/applications
    • A knowledge of the thought leaders and leading researchers in the field of DNA sequencing, especially Next Generation Sequencing
    • Excellent computer skills
    • Excellent people skills
    • Excellent presentation skills
