RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for the development, deployment, operation/monitoring and troubleshooting/maintenance of HL7 and non-standard (custom) uni-directional and bi-directional interfaces. This includes orders, results and demographics feeds between our client and area hospitals, numerous client Office Management Systems/EMRs, ASPs and various ancillary systems. It involves coding and monitoring individual interface feeds, setting up multiple interface routes and maintaining the interface engine software and its requisite hardware and Operating System as well as setting up and maintaining user accounts on Windows and Linux FTP boxes. Must also configure the necessary connectivity for such interfaces once the network administrator(s) have provided the required access.

REQUIREMENTS

Requires working with system vendors and other departments within our client to assess and implement various interface needs. Knowledge of UNIX shell scripting and basic UNIX administration is highly recommended.

Graduation from a four year college with a degree in Computer Science or related field – or equivalent experience (at least 2 years interface experience required). QUOVADX Cloverleaf Certification Level I or higher required. Experience with Ensemble a plus.
