    BACKGROUND

    Position Overview (Major Functions and Non-Essential Functions): Work independently and apply expertise to solve domain-specific problems. Work independently or as part of a team on the development of databases, software applications and/or on the application of existing tools to support scientific projects. Strong knowledge of resources available online (databases, applications) as well as intra-mural resources. Strong knowledge of the methods that are used to solve domain specific problems. Utilize scientific best practices when implementing, applying data analysis methods and interpreting the results of data analysis. Contribute to grant and report writing and might be invited to contribute to scientific publications.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Minimum Education and/or Experience Required (Minimum Job Requirements, Education Requirements, Experiences):
    This position requires a Master degree in domain-relevant sciences (biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, and statistics or health sciences) or domain informatics (computational biology, computational chemistry, bioinformatics, clinical informatics, medical imaging, and medical informatics) and 3-5 years experience in one or more these fields.

    SALARY & COMPENSATION

    Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. (The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approximately $2712.00 based on a full-time position.)
