RESPONSIBILITIES
The lab of Patrick Lemaire, at the Institute for Developmental Biology of Marseille Luminy (France), is seeking a creative and independent post-doctoral colleague to design and use innovative strategies to automatically reconstruct and mathematically analyze the developmental gene regulatory networks of the ascidian, Ciona intestinalis, one of the closest relatives of vertebrates (see Lemaire, Smith and Nishida, 2008, Current Biology 18: R620-R631).
The project will initially involve the prediction of cis-regulatory region activity, and its integration with gene expression, genome evolution and transcription factor DNA-binding specificity data.REQUIREMENTS
Ideal applicants will have a background in computational biology with an interest in experimentally testing their predictions and a track record of international publication. Previous experience in Gene Regulatory Network reconstruction and analysis starting from diverse data types would be a plus, but is not required. The working language of the laboratory is English and no previous knowledge of French is expected.TERMS
