BACKGROUND

North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System (North Shore-LIJ) and The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and entrepreneurial individual to lead its newly created Bioinformatics Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead newly created Bioinformatics Department. The Vice President and Chair of Bioinformatics will be responsible for providing the overall coordination of clinical and population-based research and will serve as bridge to the organization’s world-class science enterprise, its hospitals, and the soon-to-open Hofstra University School of Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic, results-oriented leader committed to scientific discovery, innovation, and the health of the community.

REQUIREMENTS

MD or PhD, experience with the CTSA (Clinical and Translational Science Award) grant application process is an advantage.
