    This is to announce that a stable version of I, Librarian, a free application to build web-based library of scientific PDF articles is available for download.

    I, Librarian is a feature-rich application that can be used to:
    • Build either personal or shared (laboratory, departmental) PDF library
    • Store up to a 100,000 fully annotated PDF files
    • Batch upload all your existing PDF collection (works well with PubMed stored literature only)
    • Perform diacritics-neutral searches for words and phrases in reference data
    • Search for words in PDF full text
    • Search and seamlessly import data from PubMed, PubMed Central, NASA ADS, arXiv, and HighWire Press
    • Seamlessly record metadata from PubMed, NASA ADS, arXiv and CrossRef, if PDF contains a DOI or an arXiv ID
    • Import references from various files, including Endnote, ISI Web of Science, and RIS files from more than a dozen supported web services (Science Direct, Scopus, JSTOR, IEEE Xplore, and more...)
    • Store attached files, like supplementary data or full resolution figures
    • Attach personal notes
    • Access all stored data and PDF files through WWW
    • Export records into RIS, Endnote, BibTex, CSV and plain text files
    • Organize your PDFs into multiple categories
    • Create multiple collaborative projects
    • Create collaborative groups for a project and discuss your progress using the built-in chat

    I, Librarian is a cross-platform application written in PHP, which requires a web server and PHP5 interpreter with built-in SQLite database. Windows installer containing all prerequisites is available.
