Naturally emerging or reemerging diseases pose some of the most serious threats to human health. Computational methods are urgently needed for developing new vaccines, cancer immunotherapy, models to improve our knowledge and understanding of the immune system, and reliable tools for guiding and directing immunology research.

Computational immunology is an emerging field of science that encompasses high-throughput genomic and bioinformatics approaches to immunology. The workshop intends to address the recent advances in immunoinformatics and computational immunology research. The goal of the workshop is to attract researchers from computer science, information science, biomedicine, bioinformatics, systems biology, and immunology to share and exchange their knowledge of the state-of-the-art research issues, methodologies, ideas, and challenges.
