RESPONSIBILITIES
The position is to assemble 454-generated and BAC-end sequences to uncover the genome sequence of an important soybean pathogen, Fusarium virguliforme. The candidate will also have the opportunity to analyze SOLEXA-based transcriptomes for annotating the genome. Finally, candidate will make the sequence available to the community by developing a user friendly web page.REQUIREMENTS
Ph.D. in computational or biological sciences. Strong proficiency in Java or C/C++ and in at least one scripting language, preferably Perl. Innovative web development. Good working knowledge of Unix OS system and computer clusters.PREFERENCES
Strong algorithm development skills.
