    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The San Diego Supercomputer Center, University of California, San Diego (UCSD) is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scientist Position in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. The successful candidate will be involved in computational research on sequences and structures of transcription factors, including their classification and development of new algorithms for the prediction of their binding sites in genome sequences. The incumbent will interact with experimental scientists at UCSD on the analysis of microarray and ChIP-chip data and validation of prediction methods.

    REQUIREMENTS

    The applicant should have a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology or relevant disciplines, research experience in computational biology, computer programming skills and knowledge of molecular biology, protein structure and bioinformatics.
