This workshop will cover the following topics: Molecular Databases, Information retrieval techniques (Entrez and SRS), Database Searching Strategies using BLAST, PSI & PHI BLAST, and FASTA, Sequence Alignment methods, Dynamic Programming, Multiple Sequence Alignment, Phylogenetic Analysis, Nucleotide and Protein Sequence Analysis and Gene Identification Methods. Besides BISR Faculty, the experts of the field will deliver lectures and demonstration on the given topics followed by Hands-on session in a computer lab.
