BACKGROUND
A position is available in the Cancer Genomics Group for an experienced Bioinformaticist. The appointee will be a member of the Institute of Cancer and the Cancer Research UK Centre at Barts and the London’s School of Medicine and Dentistry, and will be based at Charterhouse Square Campus in the City of London.RESPONSIBILITIES
The appointee will be responsible for organising and assisting with all the cancer genomics studies undertaken by the group. This will involve data generated by new state-of-the-art array technology including high throughput sequencers (454-Roche and Illumina). They should have experience/working knowledge in management of large data sets. A sound knowledge of statistical methodology is required. Opportunities will exist for further training in this exciting area.

This is a full-time, fixed-term post until 30 September 2011. Future funding of the post is determined by performance reviews of the entire programme by Cancer Research UK.
LOCALE: Central London, UKSALARY & COMPENSATION
Starting salary will be in the range £30,079-£35,355 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, final salary pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.HOW TO APPLY
