    RESPONSIBILITIES

    You will be an integral part of a very enthusiastic and dedicated team of scientists and engineers working towards cutting edge scientific solutions. Responsibilities include development of production quality scientific software including writing new code and optimizing existing code and algorithms for high performance computing environment. Since this position takes part in development of a robust pipeline of various tools, you will ensure that the components of the pipeline work well together, as well as in isolation. Stressing the performance of the system in order to design and deliver a more robust and scalable software will be involved.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • A MSc/PhD degree in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, EE or related field (exceptional candidates with a BE will be considered) and 6-12 years of software development experience in large scale projects involving high performance computing environment
    • Strong expertise in modern C++ techniques and libraries (such as Boost) and Linux/Unix environment
    • Solid analytical skills, an understanding and ability to write complex scientific software, and previous in-depth involvement in large and complex scientific software including all aspects of software development cycle
    • Experience with writing and optimizing scientific software that handles large datasets
    • Ability to take a team lead position and clearly communicate software design and architecture concepts
    • Experience in bioinformatics or related software a plus
