Bioinformatics.Org now features an interactive calendar of events. Events can be posted by members. They appear as linked text in traditional-looking calendars. The links take you to additional information about an event, including event website URL. Year, month, week and day views are available. You can also search the calendar, jump to dates, and get printer-friendly versions.

The calendar is a long-awaited feature, finally realized thanks to the work of volunteers Marcos Oliveira de Carvalho and Mark Luo.

Future plans for the calendar include e-mail notification of upcoming events and calendars for each project.
