    RESPONSIBILITIES

    We are looking for a talented and highly motivated postdoc to join the bioinformatics team in Bjoern Peters lab (http://www.liai.org/pages/faculty-peters) at the La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology (http://www.liai.org), one of the world's leading immunology research institutes. The candidate will build software tools to handle and analyze experimental data and model immune responses to improve the basic understanding of the immune system and facilitate the development of improved diagnostics, vaccines, and immunotherapeutics.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Interested candidates must have a PhD degree. The degree will ideally be in bioinformatics, but candidates with equivalent skills and interests in computer science, statistics, and biomedicine will be considered as well.

    PREFERENCES

    • Experience with Python, Perl, R, Java, Linux and web server development is desirable, and background knowledge of immunology, biochemistry, and bioinformatics is a strong plus.

    SALARY & COMPENSATION

    Salary will be commensurate with experience.
