RESPONSIBILITIES
The Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center (LCCC) at Georgetown University invites applications for a postdoctoral research position to work on mass spectrometry-based biomarker discovery studies at Ressom Lab (http://omics.georgetown.edu).
The successful candidate will work on the development of machine learning, statistical, and signal processing methods for mass spectrometry data analysis in proteomics and metabolomics studies. The analysis includes normalization and alignment of LC-MS data, peak detection, and identification of candidate peptide and metabolic biomarkers.REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES
Applicants are expected to have a PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Computational Biology, Engineering, or related field with relevant experience in signal processing and high dimensional data analysis. Other preferred skills include programming in MATLAB and working knowledge of statistical and machine learning methods.LOCALE
