    BACKGROUND

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Dow AgroSciences seeks a Research Developer to assist in developing a wide range of software tools and desktop applications that support innovative biological research. The successful candidate will join the Discovery Information Technology and Managaement department and will work closely with scientists in the company's Plant Genetics & Biotechnology R&D organization. Key job responsibilities include designing and building software tools to support scientific research efforts, extending an existing object oriented framework to support new research activities and integration with legacy systems, and supporting good software practices with an eye to code maintainability, testing, stability and re-usability. Exciting opportunities exist to work with internal and external resources and to foster collaborative partnerships.
