RESPONSIBILITIES
Bioinformatics Support for Next-Gen Sequencing Core lab - primary data processing for 454 and Illumina sequencers.
Operate vendor-supplied software for 454 and Illumina sequencer for image processing, base-calling, and genome alignment. QC and deliver processed data to clients. Opportunities for collaborative research in ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, genome variation, and other sequencing-related projects.REQUIREMENTS
- Must have strong UNIX skills and basic understanding of molecular biology methods.
PREFERENCES
- Perl and/or Phython programming skills are a plus.
- MS in computer science or molecular biology with some practical experience or recent Ph.D.
