    BACKGROUND

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Candidate will work with a small team of subject matter experts, database and other software developers through full life cycle software development, implementation and integration operations. The Bioinformatics Developer / Scientific Programmer may be required to investigate the suitability of specific methods, algorithms, and software approaches to particular assignments. Interaction with team members is critical for project coordination. Ideally the candidate will have a strong development skills that will include python, PERL, Java, C/C++, and R. A basic knowledge of biological principals is desired.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Skills: Formal computer science training, Programming experience to support tool/application using include python, PERL, Java, C/C++, and R.
    • Bacholers Degree

    PREFERENCES

    • Knowledge of database management and a basic knowledge of biological principals is desired.
