A Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available in Zemin Zhang's group, Department of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, to perform original basic research in oncogenomics. We aim to contribute to the advancement of the cancer genomics by analyzing next- generation sequencing data along with various other high-throughput data such as expression microarray, SNP chip and point mutation data. In particular we will utilize full genome sequencing data for a large number of cancer samples to reveal genomic alterations that are associated with oncogenesis and drug sensitivity. The successful candidate is expected to formulate hypothesis, develop computational tools, collaborate with experimental biologists, interpret data and publish quality research papers.REQUIREMENTS
- This position requires a PhD in Computational Biology or a related field.
- Proficient programming skills and first-author publications in reputable journals
PREFERENCES
- Knowledge of cancer-related pathways is desirable.
