    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Working at the interface of biology, statistics and computing, the candidate will have the following responsibilities: to analyze high through-put gene expression microarray data in cancer genomics; the goal is to develop novel data-analysis algorithms and software and to identify genomic signatures in cancer patients and tumor-bearing mice.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • PhD in bioinformatics, biostatistics, computer science or related fields
    • Familiarity with molecular biology and genomics
    • Strong programming skills (R, C++, Python)
    • Proficiency in microarray software Bioconductor, dChip, and GenePattern

    TERMS

    2+ year position, contingent on satisfactory work; citizenship or permanent residency is not required.

    LOCALE

    Boston, Massachusetts (Longwood Medical Area)

    COMPENSATION

    Approximately $50,000/year, depending on qualifications; fringe benefits include partially subsidized family health insurance, option of credit union membership, discounted T-Passes, free weekday shuttle bus service to Cambridge campuses (MIT and Harvard) and opportunity to apply for childcare scholarships.
